The elimination of drilling mud absorption at West Komunarsky field

During the period from 03.31.2015 to 04.04.2015 by specialists of LLC “INNOIL” together with JSC “Udmurtneft-drilling” was carried the absorption elimination of drilling fluid in the well #87 of West Komunarskiy field for JSC “Samaraneftegaz”. Work on the well began with the process of cutting "window" in a double column Ø146mm and Ø245mm in the range 1398-1401m. There was a failure of the tool and complete absorption of the drilling fluid with simultaneous display of oil and gas during the further drilling of the wellbore in the range 1745-1751 m. Standard methods and technologies application for difficulties liquidation didn’t give any positive results. For liquidation of drilling mud absorption has been used 1.5 tons of special water shutoff agent PBC. There has been used 1.5 tons of water shutoff agent PBC for liquidation of drilling mud. Injection of reagent was carried out in a few cycles. After the second cycle of pumping reagent in an amount of 300 kg yield of drilling mud circulation was 50%. During the third cycle of the reagent injection there was a brought to the surface. Injection of another round of PBC (400 kg) couldn’t give any positive result. In this regard, it was decided to cease a further work.
